The first and last stop of our trip was Dublin, the capital of Ireland. Sadly, I must say that I was a little disappointed of the city. But the only reason for that were my expectations of the city, because I imagined it differently. So in the end, my consciousness might be the only reason for that and not the city itself. But one must say that you can only scratch on the surface of a city if you only spend one day there. Still, we had a great time in Dublin.
WHAT TO EAT
Typically Fish&Chips. In Ireland it gets served with mashed peas. Also you need to try the irish Kerrygold-Butter which is a little bit more salty and according to my Mom only from happy, irish cows.
WHAT TO SEE
Of course we visited the famous Temple Bar with the bar to it. What happens here at night, I can’t tell you but I bet there is a hell of an athomsphere.
HIGHLIGHT: THE OLD LIBRARY AT TRINITY COLLEGE
My absolute highlight was the old library of the Trinity College in Dublin. In the library you get such a magical feeling – the books in there are hundreds of years old. You can’t really imagine that. It was an unbelievable, impressive experience, which I will never forget!
Tip: If you get there late, as half an hour before they close, you only pay half of the entry fee!
FAVORITE SPOT: THE JAM ART FACTORY
I am a big fan of creativity and art, so I especially loved the „Jam Art Factory„. Here you get unusual things, special prints, pictures, selfmade designs and paper-work. Thumbs up!
